Ghost Block Vineyard rests along the eastern slope of Yountville Hill, beside the historic George C. Yount Pioneer Cemetery. Millions of years ago, a dramatic shift in the Vaca Mountains exposed layers of ancient volcanic rock, forming the foundation for this remarkable site. East-facing vines bask in gentle morning and afternoon sun, while cool evening breezes and early fog from San Pablo Bay allow the fruit to ripen slowly and evenly—developing both concentration and freshness.
Beautiful aromas of blackberry compote, plum jam, and black and red currant mingle with delicate hints of crème de cassis and vanilla. The first sip coats the palate with silky tannins and layers of bramble fruit, offering a well-balanced, approachable, and polished wine. Oak complexity integrates seamlessly with black and blue fruits, accented by warm fall spices and a touch of savory thyme. Refined tannins carry these flavors through a medium-bodied finish. Crafted to enjoy now, this Cabernet will continue to develop depth and character through 2038.
