From Vineyard to Glass: The Block House Difference
Our Block House Vineyard, located in the southern end of the Yountville AVA, has been organically farmed by our family for generations. With 12 acres dedicated to Pinot Grigio, the site’s east-west row orientation and afternoon breezes from San Pablo Bay help preserve natural acidity and fresh aromatics.
Planted in 2006 using Alsatian clone 9, our Pinot Grigio grapes are harvested with care and fermented in small lots. For added texture and complexity, 20% of the wine is aged on neutral French oak for three months with lees stirring every two weeks.
The result is a vibrant, expressive wine that reflects the unique terroir of our vineyard and the craftsmanship behind every bottle.
