Seven Single Vineyards
Rooted in Napa Valley Since 1903. Over 123 Harvests.
Guided by a simple philosophy—leave the land better than you found it—our seven estate vineyards are farmed with care and a deep respect for place. This is where every wine begins.
Block House | Yountville
292 Acres | Yount Mill Rd. / Yountville Crossroad
Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Cinsault, Flora, Grenache, Malbec, Merlot, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Syrah
Soils: Bale Clay Loam, Cole Silt Loam, Clear Lake Clay, and Yolo Loam
Named for the Kentucky-style structure built by George Yount in 1836, Block House Vineyard carries both historical significance and an important role across our estate.
Set on deep alluvial soils with the cooling influence of San Pablo Bay, the property spans a range of microclimates across its acreage. This natural variation allows us to grow multiple varieties with intention, each block farmed to highlight its character and contribution.
All Elizabeth Rose wines are grown here. Block House provides the fruit behind the wines, from bright, expressive whites to layered, approachable reds shaped by this single, expansive site.
Ghost Block | Yountville
17 Acres | Yount Mill Rd.
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Soils: Boomer-Forward-Felta, Bale Clay Loam, Coombs Gravelly Loam
Our most distinctive and sought-after site, Ghost Block Vineyard sits along the slope of Yountville Hill, bordering the George C. Yount Pioneer Cemetery and carrying a deep sense of place rooted in Napa Valley’s earliest history.
Formed millions of years ago by a seismic shift in the Vaca Mountains, this hillside reveals rare vertical layers of ancient volcanic soils, creating a foundation unlike anywhere else in the valley. The vineyard faces east, capturing steady morning light and warm afternoon sun, while cooling marine influence from San Pablo Bay tempers the evenings.
Planted entirely to Cabernet Sauvignon, this site consistently produces wines with depth, structure, and a clear expression of the land.
Pelissa | Oakville
56.5 Acres | Hwy 29 & Oakville Crossroad
Varieties: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Montepulciano, Petit Verdot, Zinfandel
Soils: Bale Clay Loam, Bale Loam
Named for Andrew and Babe Pelissa, this vineyard sits directly behind our family’s Napa Wine Company and has long been part of our Oakville roots.
The site is home to mature, dry-farmed Cabernet Sauvignon, originally planted to the BV-7 clone and trained in a traditional California sprawl system. Select blocks have since been replanted with vertical shoot positioning and our Ghost Block clone, continuing the evolution of the vineyard while staying true to its history.
About 20% of the vineyard is dedicated to dry-farmed Zinfandel, planted in 1995—a rarity in Oakville. It’s a reflection of our approach to farming: not following trends, but growing what makes sense for the land and for us.
Pelissa remains a core part of our estate—family farmed and deeply tied to Oakville.
MorgaenLee | Yountville
30 Acres | Yountville Crossroad
Varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc
Soils: Cole Silt Loam, Yolo Loam
Located just beyond Yountville, MorgaenLee is one of our most temperate sites, shaped by cool mornings, warm afternoons, and steady, even growing conditions throughout the season. Planted north to south, the vineyard is designed to maximize sun exposure while maintaining balance across the fruit.
Sauvignon Blanc thrives here, making up the majority of the acreage, with Chardonnay planted in select blocks that reflect the site’s versatility. Two blocks date back to 1978, still farmed today, while newer plantings have been established with vertical shoot positioning—bringing together both history and evolution within the vineyard.
Named for fifth-generation Morgaen Hoxsey-Pickett, this site reflects a continued focus on thoughtful farming and a long view of the land—one that carries forward with each vintage.
Rock Cairn | Oakville
34 Acres | Hwy 29, western base of Yountville Hill
Varieties: Albariño, Cabernet Sauvignon
Soils: Bale Clay Loam
Located at the southern edge of Oakville along the western base of Yountville Hill, Rock Cairn takes its name from the stone markers once placed here as symbols of guidance and passage through the land.
The vineyard sits on a gentle slope with a western exposure, allowing for steady afternoon sun and extended ripening into the later part of the season. This combination consistently produces Cabernet Sauvignon with depth and concentration, while select blocks of Albariño bring a fresh, lifted contrast to the site.
Planted over several decades, from the early 1980s through recent years, Rock Cairn reflects a range of vine age and character—each block contributing to the overall complexity and identity of the vineyard.
Lincoln Creek | Oakville
64.5 Acres | Hwy 29 / Yount Mill Rd.
Varieties: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Zinfandel
Soils: Bale Clay Loam, Clear Lake Clay, Cole Silt Loam, Yolo Loam
Named for the creek that runs through the property, Lincoln Creek is one of our larger Oakville sites, defined by its diversity of plantings and steady growing conditions.
This is one of our warmer vineyards in the afternoon, allowing for full ripening across Bordeaux varieties, while consistent bay influence in the mornings and evenings helps retain balance and acidity. The vineyard sits on gentle slopes with deep, alluvial soils, supporting both structure and expression in the fruit.
Lincoln Creek is home to some of the remaining Zinfandel plantings in Oakville, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and other red varieties—reflecting a site that continues to offer both range and character across the portfolio.
Mill Race | Yountville
35.5 Acres | Cook Rd.
Varieties: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot
Soils: Pleasanton Loam
Located along the eastern bank of the Napa River in Yountville, Mill Race is one of our warmest sites, sitting just at the edge of the Oakville appellation. Sheltered by the Yountville Hills to the west, the vineyard benefits from steady daytime warmth, balanced by cooler evenings influenced by the river.
The site is defined by gentle slopes and uniform soils, creating consistency across the blocks and allowing each variety to ripen fully while maintaining structure and balance.
Mill Race takes its name from the historic water channel that once powered George Yount’s original grist mill on this property—tying the land’s early history to its continued purpose today.
